Your tests show nothing serious, but the chest pain, palpitations, or skipped beats keep coming back.
Still feeling chest pain, palpitations, or changes in your blood pressure — even though your tests are normal and you follow your doctor's advice?
Dr. Vlad takes an integrative approach. Instead of just silencing one symptom, he works to understand the medical, emotional, and behavioural factors that started the problem or keep it going. The first online consultation is a chance to make sense of what you’re experiencing and see what to do next.

Help with health anxiety, intrusive thoughts, fears, and body responses — combining a doctor's perspective with non-directive hypnotherapy, when it is genuinely appropriate.

Why people come
You may recognise yourself here
Your heart rate, chest discomfort, or blood pressure clearly reacts to stress, conflict, strong emotions, exhaustion, or poor sleep.
You follow your prescribed treatment, but you still don’t feel well — or the improvement isn’t what you expected.
Since your diagnosis, you live with a constant fear of complications, a heart attack, getting worse, or sudden death.
Fear for your heart makes it hard to exercise, travel, fly, stay alone, or be far from medical help.
If any of this sounds familiar, your symptoms may be influenced by more than one factor. During the first consultation, we look at the picture wider — what may be contributing to your symptoms, what keeps them going, and what can realistically be changed.
A new direction in modern medicine
Why treating the symptom alone is not enough
Modern medicine increasingly recognizes that symptoms should not always be viewed in isolation. Physical health, emotional well-being, lifestyle, and life circumstances can all influence how a person feels.
Medication can be necessary and life-saving. But even the right treatment doesn't always address every factor that shapes a condition — and how a person feels.
“A symptom is often just the tip of the iceberg. What lies beneath may involve the body, the mind, lifestyle, and life circumstances — all influencing one another. My goal is not simply to treat a symptom, but to understand what may be behind it.”
Dr. Vlad's integrative approach
Not separating body from mind — but seeing the whole person
The mind and body are closely connected. Stress can affect sleep, anxiety can make the heart race, and emotional strain can leave us physically exhausted. At the same time, physical symptoms can affect our mood, confidence, and the way we live our daily lives.
That is why I don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. The work begins with a careful understanding of your individual situation and, depending on what we find, may involve several interconnected areas.
Learn more about my integrative approachWhen appropriate, hypnotherapy can be used alongside medical care to work with anxiety, fears, stress-related physical responses, and long-standing emotional or behavioural patterns.
It does not replace medical treatment and is only considered when it is relevant to the individual situation.

When you need more than a standard approach
The first consultation is about understanding your situation as a whole. We discuss your symptoms, medical history, previous tests and treatment, as well as other factors that may be affecting how you feel. By the end of the consultation, you will have a clearer understanding of:
- whether you need further examination;
- which emotional factors may be keeping you unwell;
- whether there are reasons for psychological work;
- whether hypnotherapy could help you;
- which next step makes sense.
For who this format is suitable
adults aged 18 and over in a planned, relatively stable situation;
people who have already had tests or a diagnosis, but didn't get the improvement they hoped for;
people who notice that stress, anxiety, or inner tension affects their physical state;
people living with intrusive thoughts, fears, inner limits, and physical or psychosomatic symptoms;
people who want to know whether clinical hypnotherapy could help in their case.
You don’t have to figure out on your own whether your symptoms are physical, psychological, or somewhere in between. The first consultation is a chance to look at the whole picture, understand what may be going on, and decide what to do next.
About me
Dr. Vlad — cardiologist and certified hypnotherapist
I have worked in medicine since 2019. My experience includes medical centres in Belarus, among them the Republican Scientific and Practical Centre of Cardiology and the Minsk City Emergency Hospital.
Today I work with a humanitarian medical mission at the specialised cardiac surgery centre MHCC in Libya.
I completed professional training in clinical hypnosis and I am an Associate Member of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH).
My work is grounded in evidence-based and integrative medicine, with a holistic view of the mind and subconscious processes. I don't look at the body separately from the mind, and I don't use the same template for every patient.
Research
I am currently conducting a clinical research project on the use of hypnotherapy alongside standard care for people with high blood pressure. The study is now recruiting participants to evaluate this approach in clinical practice.

Olga talks about her consultation with Dr Vlad — what she expected, how the consultation went, and how she felt after it.
How it works
First steps towards your physical and mental health:
You complete the pre-consultation questionnaire
In the questionnaire, you tell me what is bothering you, when it started, what tests or treatments you’ve already had, and what you hope to achieve.
I review your information personally
If your request fits my area of expertise and a consultation can help, my assistant will contact you to arrange a convenient date and time.
You share your medical documents
If you have them, you can send recent medical reports, test results, and a list of your current medication in advance. This way the consultation starts as a better-prepared, more specific conversation.
What happens in the consultation
The consultation takes place online and lasts up to 60 minutes. We take the time to understand your situation, explore what may be contributing to your symptoms, and decide on the most appropriate next steps.
Hypnotherapy is not part of the first consultation. If it is not the right approach for your situation, the consultation can still help clarify what to do next and whether another specialist may be more appropriate.
Answers
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a complete medical workup before the consultation?
No. You can complete the intake form with the medical data you currently have. If additional examinations are required, Dr. Vlad will explain during the consultation what needs to be clarified and why.
Why is hypnotherapy an effective method?
Most somatic anxiety symptoms — palpitations, missed beats, chest tightness, or shortness of breath — are triggered by an autonomic stress response that logic and willpower cannot simply switch off. Hypnotherapy works directly with autonomic nervous system regulation and deeply rooted stress patterns, helping decouple physical symptoms from the underlying anxiety loop.
What happens during the initial consultation?
Dr. Vlad reviews your medical history, symptoms, prior test results, and lifestyle context. The consultation is focused on clinical analysis and creating a clear care roadmap, so no hypnotic induction is conducted during this first session.
What if I am not hypnotizable or struggle to relax?
Clinical hypnotherapy does not rely on a “special trance talent” or completely switching off conscious control. It is a structured process of focused attention. The techniques are individually tailored to your nervous system’s current state and responsiveness.
Does an integrative approach mean stopping medication?
No. Dr. Vlad does not recommend discontinuing prescribed medications on your own or replacing essential medical treatment with hypnotherapy or psychological interventions. The purpose of an integrative approach is to combine evidence-based medicine with complementary therapeutic methods within a unified, balanced plan.
Is this approach suitable for everyone?
It is best suited for individuals experiencing functional cardiac symptoms, health anxiety, chronic stress, or psychosomatic conditions where a medical evaluation has not revealed an acute life-threatening cause.
Is hypnotherapy conducted during the initial consultation?
No. The initial consultation is strictly diagnostic and analytical. Its purpose is to understand your clinical picture, rule out contraindications, and formulate a safe, targeted strategy. Practical hypnotherapy sessions, if indicated, begin only after this foundation is established.
What happens if my situation does not match your specialization?
If the review reveals that your case requires in-person emergency care, specialized hospital diagnostics, or another field of medicine, Dr. Vlad will state this clearly and outline what type of specialist or assessment you should seek.
What documents should I prepare?
Recent ECGs, echocardiography reports, 24-hour Holter monitoring data, blood test results, and discharge summaries are most helpful. If you do not have these documents yet, you can still submit the intake questionnaire with what is currently available.
How much does further work cost?
The initial consultation is free of charge. If further individual work is indicated, Dr. Vlad will explain the recommended format, expected duration, and cost. Any decision to proceed is entirely up to you.
